A charity ball involving people in the securities finance market is set to raise thousands for vulnerable young people in London and rough sleepers across the UK.
Over twenty firms, comprising banks, brokers and fintechs, have pledged support for the 2019 Securities Finance Spring Charity Ball.
The event will be held in the City on May 8 at Merchant Taylors' Hall.
More than 200 market professionals are set to attend.
Charities chosen include the International Bankers Charitable Trust (IBCT) which aims to make a difference in the lives of needy young people in London.
The event will also raise money for Crisis - the UK national charity for single homeless people.
Event organiser Grant Davies, who works for electronic securities finance platform Matchbox, commented: “As industry participants working in the heart of London's financial centre, it is incumbent upon us and the companies we work for to offer a helping hand to the local community."
Speaking to Global Investor, Davies added: "We hope money raised from our Charity Ball will support the vital work both charities provide and strengthen links between the City of London and the communities which surround it."
Global Investor Group is proud to be supporting the Securities Finance Spring Charity Ball.
