Clear Street, the US firm aiming to shake-up futures clearing, has hired another four senior brokers in London as the New York-based firm ramps up in Europe.

Clear Street, which was approved on October 17 by the Financial Conduct Authority as first reported by FOW, has hired four senior brokers to add to the 12 hired in the two months between the middle of November and the end of last month.

Clear Street said on Wednesday it has hired Matthew Cyzer as head of markets, execution from TD where he was chief executive officer of TD Cowen Execution Services. Cyzer was previously at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs.

Phillip Hylander, also formerly of Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, joined last month as managing director, execution from Kingsley Capital Partners, a private equity investor where he sat on the advisory board.

The London-based broker said it has also hired Stuart Holt as managing director, client distribution and strategy, equities, from Berenberg, and Luke Holmes as a managing director of high touch sales from Kepler Cheuvreux.

Ed Tilly, CEO of Clear Street, said: "Establishing a strong presence in the UK is a natural step in our global growth and the addition of these leaders is another major step as we activate our mission.”

The former Cboe Global Markets chief executive added: “Clear Street continues to attract top tier talent, ensuring our clients are in the best hands every step of the way.”

The appointments are the latest by the firm which has already welcomed in London Tarquin Orchard as the firm’s global head of event-driven strategies and Tracy Mills to run compliance and anti-money laundering, both from TD.

Clear Street became in December the eighth category one, ring-dealing member of the London Metal Exchange, effectively announcing the clearing broker’s arrival in London.

These leadership appointments reflect our dedication to hiring top-tier talent and driving long-term success."
