The FOW 2016 International Awards' winners were announced at early December gala dinner in London

Eurex Exchange was the big winner at tonight’s FOW International Awards taking home four awards including the coveted Global Exchange of the Year.
In addition to the global award, the German exchange won European Exchange of the Year, Proprietary Traders’ Exchange of the Year and Best Innovation by an Exchange for its ISA-Direct direct clearing offering.
CME Group scooped three awards: two Best New Contract awards for its BTIC suite and Ultra Treasury Future and Exchange of the Year, US and Canada.
Another big winner on the night was Abide Financial, which took home awards for Best New Product – Regulatory Reporting and Best Innovation by an ISV, Regualtory Change.
Michael Spencer, who built up ICAP into the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Elsewhere, Fidessa took home the Best Trading System, Sell-Side for an impressive fifth year consecutive year following up its fourth consecutive win in that category in the FOW Awards for Asia.
Dash Financial won Best New Product, Trading and Execution for its Dash360 execution management tool winning the unanimous vote of judges in the most hotly contested category beating off 11 other entries for the award.
The FOW International Awards recognise the best performance in the cleared derivatives industry over the judging period, which runs from July to the end of June each year.
The awards are judged by a network of industry expects independent of the FOW team.
Over 300 people attended this year’s awards dinner, which followed the annual Derivatives World London: The Debates event.
